We understand you’d like to know why we need data in some cases and what we use it for. We’re happy to explain. When you visit our website, you provide us with personal data. Personal data is any information that can be traced back to you as an individual, such as your name or email address you provide when you fill out a contact form on our website, or your browsing behavior on our website. We understand you’d like to know why we need this data and what we use it for. We’re happy to explain. If you have any questions after reading this, please let us know by contacting our customer service or by sending us an email at info@russellwoods.eu.

How Russell Woods protects your data

We protect the personal data you provide us with using various technologies. We also ensure that only those within Russell Woods who need to know your data have access to it. This ensures that people who have no connection to your data cannot access it. Your data is not shared with third parties and is therefore only used internally. If you feel this isn’t happening, please let us know via our customer service or info@russellwoods.eu.

What information does Russell Woods use from you and why?

We use your data for various purposes. We explain these purposes below. We use the data we receive from you, as well as data we collect ourselves. For example, data about your visit to our website.

Improve website

We want to ensure our website is as easy to use as possible. We need information for this. That’s why we place cookies, small text files that are stored in your browser. We ask your permission to place these cookies when you first visit our website. This allows us to ensure our website works properly and to receive information on how we can make it even more user-friendly. You can find more information about this in our cookie policy. To ensure our website works well for you, we collect your IP address, information about your internet browser, any language settings, and information about the operating system settings of the device you use to visit us. Service is our top priority. We therefore want to ensure our website is as easy to use as possible and that you quickly find the information you’re looking for. Therefore, we collect information about your search and click behavior on our website. We use this data to determine an average customer pattern and improve our website accordingly; we are not interested in individual customer behavior. For example, we ensure that the most frequently visited pages are the easiest to reach. This information is retained for the limited retention period.

Contact form

If you have any questions you need our assistance with, you can contact our department via the contact form. When you complete this form, we ask for various details, such as your name, preferred salutation, email address, address, phone number, etc. We then save the information from the contact form in our CRM system. This way, our department has all the information quickly at hand to provide you with the best possible service. We retain your data for as long as you are a customer. If we have not contacted you for ten years, we will delete your personal data. You can also contact us at any time to have it deleted sooner.

Brochure request

Just like when you fill out a contact form, we also ask for various personal details, such as your name, preferred salutation, email address, address, phone number, etc. We also store this information in our CRM system, just like with the contact form.

We want to provide you with the best service. Therefore, we retain your data for as long as you are in contact with us and as a customer. If we have not been in contact with you for ten years, we will delete your personal data. You can also contact us at any time to have it deleted sooner.

Information and service purposes

A key reason we collect personal data is for service purposes. We use your data not only to ensure any service visits run as smoothly as possible, but we also actively use the service history of our products to improve our products.

Market research

We use your data for analysis, sometimes enriched with data from external sources, to gain a better understanding of our users’ purchasing behavior and preferences. This data allows us to develop products that take our users’ needs into account as much as possible.

Your saved data

We store your personal data. You therefore have the right to receive an explanation of what personal data we hold and what we do with it, to see exactly what personal data we store, to change your personal data if it is no longer accurate, to have your personal data deleted, and to withdraw your consent for, for example, the newsletter or the placement of cookies. If you wish to exercise any of these rights, for example, to change your personal data because it is incorrect, please feel free to contact us at info@russellwoods.eu. You can also contact us with other questions. We will respond to your request as quickly as possible, always within one month. However, we do want to be certain that it is you when you ask us to change, view, or delete your personal data. To be certain, we ask you to include a copy of your ID. Please make sure that you black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the ID), document number, and personal identification number in this copy. We do not need this information. We will delete the copy immediately after responding to your request. If you disagree with how we handle your data, we’d be happy to work with you to resolve this. Please contact our customer service.
